Revlon ColourBurst Balm Stains

On the plane home from Spain, I noticed that EasyJet had a package of 3 of the Revlon Colour Burst Balm Stains for £16, plus there was a 20% off sale, so I couldn't resist snapping these up! I've been meaning to try these for a while now as Revlon in general do my favourite lip products, and I thought I'd share my thoughts on them with you today!

The three shades I got were Lovesick, Honey and Rendezvous so I think the package gave quite a nice range of colours across the collection.
Personally I am not such a fan of the y shade, but that is because I don't think that coral/orange shades tend to suit my skin tone and they only make my teeth look more yellow! If I had picked the shades, I would have rathered more berry-toned one but that's perhaps just because I'm a sucker for berry lip colours, but beggars can't be choosers and I'm sure I'll find some way to use this, or if all else fails I'll pass it on to a friend!
I'm really pleased with the formula of these products - they work effectively as both a balm and a stain! They have a very soft texture on the lips while you're wearing and I'd say they are very long lasting (Honey is less so than the other two, but perhaps it's just because the colour is fairly similar to my natural lip shade so it's not as noticeable!) and leave a nice stain for a while after application. However even if they didn't leave a stain I'd say that wouldn't be an issue, because they're so low maintenance and easy to apply!
One thing that I would say is that once the stain has gone, your lips tend to be left quite dry afterwards and in need of a bit of Vaseline, but I haven't noticed that feeling until quite a while after applying it and when the colour has faded away, so shouldn't be something to ruin your night out with chapped lips!
I know I'm a bit late on the bandwagon with these but overall, I'm really impressed. Have you tried the Balm Stains before? Let me know!
